User Accounts

Registration

• You must provide accurate, complete, and current information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• Business accounts require valid business documentation

Account Responsibilities

• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• You are liable for all activities under your account
• One person or entity may maintain only one account

User Conduct

• Impersonate another person or entity
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information

Professional Standards

• Contractors must hold valid licenses and certifications
• All work must comply with local building codes and regulations
• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
• Provide accurate project timelines and cost estimates
• Communicate professionally and promptly

Payments and Fees

Platform Fees

• Service fees are charged on completed transactions
• Fee structure is available in your account dashboard
• Fees are automatically deducted from payments
• We reserve the right to modify fees with 30 days notice

Payment Processing

• Payments are processed through secure third-party providers
• Escrow services protect both contractors and clients
• Funds are released upon project milestone completion
• Dispute resolution may delay payment release

Intellectual Property

The BuildHit platform, including its design, functionality, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws.

Platform Rights

• BuildHit owns all platform technology and trademarks
• Users receive a limited license to use the platform
• No rights are granted to modify or redistribute platform code

User Content

• You retain ownership of content you upload
• You grant BuildHit license to display and promote your content
• You warrant that your content doesn't infringe third-party rights
• We may remove content that violates these terms

Dispute Resolution

Platform Mediation

• We provide mediation services for project disputes
• Both parties must participate in good faith
• Mediation decisions are binding regarding platform matters
• Legal disputes remain subject to applicable law

Refund Policy

• Refunds are handled case-by-case through dispute resolution
• Platform fees are non-refundable except in cases of platform error

Liability and Disclaimers

• We do not guarantee contractor performance or work quality
• Users are responsible for verifying contractor credentials
• Platform availability is provided "as is" without warranties

Limitation of Liability

BuildHit's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Construction defects or project delays
• Third-party actions or content
• Data loss or security breaches beyond our control

Termination

Account Termination

• You may terminate your account at any time
• We may suspend or terminate accounts for terms violations
• Active projects must be completed before account closure
• Some data may be retained for legal compliance

Effect of Termination

• Access to platform services will cease immediately
• Outstanding payments will be processed according to agreements
• Certain provisions survive termination (liability, disputes)

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

Changes to Terms
